Katie joined NewLaw in 2011 and heads up the Wills, Trusts and Probate team. Katie is also a Director of NewLaw Trustees Limited.

Katie acts on behalf of clients, providing practical advice on tax, estate planning, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, paying for care and Court of Protection cases. Katie has advised several clients with multi-million pound estates on the structuring of their assets and has managed multi-million pound settlements for clients who have sustained a brain injury.

Katie likes helping clients to understand their options and gives practical advice. Katie’s parents own a residential home, which has helped to shape her career helping vulnerable clients.

Tim joined NewLaw in 2016 having worked for NewLaw’s parent company Redde plc for a number of years as a consultant. Previously he was a co-founder of one of the UK’s largest consumer law firms, where he held the roles of Finance Director and later Director of Probate.

Tim is responsible for NewLaw’s Wills and Probate department, providing support and guidance to customers when they need it the most. He believes that keeping customers informed about their cases in simple language is vitally important. 

Tim is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.

Helene qualified as a solicitor in 1992. She has extensive experience working with clients who have a need for Wills, probate and estate administration. She has dealt with estates of all sizes, value and complexity. Helene adopts a practical approach based on core legal principles to guide clients through the process with sensitivity, compassion and personal service.

She has advised clients for many years on pre-and post-death estate planning and wealth preservation, working closely with her clients to help them put in place effective and tailored plans for the future.

As a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner, Helene is a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and is also a member of the Law Society Private Client Section. This helps Helene keep abreast of changes in the law to ensure clients receive quality up to date advice.

Carole previously worked with HM Revenue & Customs where she specialised in employer compliance issues. Carole is now a Solicitor at NewLaw and works on the Wills, Trust and Probate team in our Glasgow office since 2011. Carole currently works on the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, the administration of estates and trusts and inheritance tax planning.  In addition, Carole regularly processes adults with incapacity actions through the Sheriff Courts and conducts her own court appearances. She gives clients sensitive and pragmatic advice on these personal issues to best reflect the clients own wishes and circumstances.

An enthusiastic member of a Glasgow choir, Carole enjoys both participating in and watching live musical performances. She has three adult children who still live at home with her, and this gives her the opportunity to practice her passion for cooking and baking.

Vanessa joined NewLaw in January 2015 bringing with her a wealth of experience in estate administration and Will writing. Having worked in the profession for 7 years, she qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2013 and is currently working towards qualifying as a Trusts and Estates Practitioner.

Vanessa strongly believes in putting her clients at ease and being supportive, during what can often be a very difficult time, guiding them through the complex and sensitive issues that can arise when administering an estate.
