Welfare Manager

The various teams at NewLaw are dedicated to helping clients through the legal process of a compensation claim. In appropriate, cases we can also provide a Welfare Manager Service.

This service is available from the moment we contact a client, so we can provide practical support to help them come to terms with what has happened, and address any financial concerns they may have. This service is provided regardless of what is happening in the compensation claim.

Our Welfare Managers have years of experience helping those who have sustained an injury to overcome the many obstacles they may face as a result of an accident. They can help with entitlement to state benefits and local authority support and help with accessing and making a claim under any insurance policies that the client may have purchased before the accident. In addition to this, they offer support to the injured person’s family too.

The team spend time liaising with hospital staff while the client is a patient, to ensure a safe discharge home. They are qualified to assess the psychological needs of the injured client and involve other agencies where necessary.

In the event of a fatality, Welfare Managers will contact bereaved families to offer emotional support too. They will guide and provide advice on what an inquest entails and answer questions relating to probate.
