Every year 50% of the funds raised by our Charity Group are set aside for allocation amongst local charities and community groups nominated by our colleagues. So far donations have been made to 32 local charities. Here are some of the charities that we have supported, and what they do.

Ty Hafan (Sully) - The only children’s hospice service in South Wales, offering specialist services helping life-limited children and their families make the most of their time together.
Llandaff North Rugby Club seconds team - Local rugby team seeking a £700 donation for new rugby shirts.
Cats Protection, Bridgend - Houses over 200 cats for adoption and provides shelter, worming, neutering and microchipping.
Port Talbot Girls FC - Local under-10’s all-girl football team seeking £250 donation for hoodies.
Beating Bowel Cancer - Registered charity helping to raise awareness of bowel cancer and contributes to research.
Amy and Friend Charity - Small charity for children with rare Cockayne Syndrome.
Scotty’s Little Soldiers - Supports the children of men and women killed while serving in the British Armed Forces. The Charity provides Christmas gifts, treats, activities and holiday lodges for the use families of the fallen.
Cyncoed Beaver Cub and Scout Group - A volunteer run club who are fundraising for camping equipment in Cyncoed.
Blood Bike Wales - Motorcycle enthusiasts who give up their spare time to carry medical items between hospitals 24/7 in order to save lives.
Catwel Cardiff - Small charity based in Radyr who neuter and rehome abandoned and stray cats.
Dystonia Society - Charity providing support and information for people with Dystonia (neurological movement disorder).
Follow Your Dreams - Helps children with disabilities and learning difficulties in sponsoring their wishes and dreams.
Radyr Cricket Club - Voluntary cricket club celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2015, which aims to encourage cricket in the Radyr area.
Autism Spectrum Disorder Employment Support - Supplies job coaching and counselling for young adults on the autism spectrum within the South Wales area. £750 requested to supply 50 hours of job coaching to a young adult.
Paul’s Place, Bristol - Bristol based charity that provides day care facilities for physically and mentally disabled adults. £600 requested to run a 10 week physiotherapy programme.
Ysgol Bro Sannan School - Local school requested £250 to finish their outdoor Mud Kitchen project, encouraging outdoor play and exploration.
Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) UK - Small UK charity that supports the neurological condition Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, which affects around 1 in 100,000 adults.
St Mark’s Hospital Foundation - Specialist Hospital and Centre of Excellence for patients with gastrointestinal failure and disease that the NHS are unable to support.
