We will acknowledge your complaint within two days and it wil then be investigated promptly and thoroughly. The findings of the investigation and response will be sent to you within 4 working days of acknowledgement. The response will include:

  •  The steps taken to investigate the issue
  •  The findings of the investigation
  •  The action that will be taken to resolve the issue

We will also review our decision if you remain unhappy.

Any complaint to the Legal Ombudsman must usually be made within six months of the date of our final decision but you should also double check their website as time limits may change.

You should contact the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission only after you have exhausted our own complaints service.
