Rob joined NewLaw in January 2009 having worked for many years for clients with brain or spinal cord injuries and their families. He is a Trustee of the Child Brain Injury Trust and chair of the Prop Appeal at Rookwood Hospital.
Elisabeth Roth (Head of Serious Injuries Team)
Elisabeth is a solicitor and Head of the Serious Injuries Team. She is a Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and a spinal injury specialist. She has pursued claimant personal injury claims since qualification in 1979.
Alison Culverwell (Senior Solicitor)
Alison has been acting for seriously injured clients for 20 years; she is a Senior litigator for APIL and a Trustee of Headway Cardiff. She has particular interests in representing clients (and the families of clients) who have suffered serious brain injuries.
Stephen Hankin (Senior Solicitor)
Stephen joined New Law in May 2009.He is a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel and has 25 years experience of dealing with complex and serious personal injury claims.
Liz Phipps (Senior Solicitor)
Liz qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and since that time has specialised in personal injury work. She has a particular interest in complex and multiple fractures; minor head injuries and fatalities and claims involving motorcyclists. Liz is the head of our serious and multiple fractures team and is also a member of APIL. She is also involved in supporting and assisting charities and organisations set up to help the seriously injured.
Lisa Samuel (Senior Solicitor)
Lisa qualified as a solicitor in 1996. She is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and deals with claims involving complex and multiple fractures, spinal injuries and fatalities. She is a member of the spinal injuries sub group within the serious injury team and has particular expertise in dealing with fatal claims.
Hilton Obery (Senior Solicitor)
Hilton qualified as solicitor in 1991 and is a senior litigator of the Association of Prersonal Injury Solicitors and a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel. He has particular experience in working on spinal and catastrophic injury claims for claimants. Hilton joined NewLaw in January 2009 having been head of personal Injury at his previous firm.
Ian Kinnear (Senior Solicitor)
Ian is a member of the Serious Injuries Team with in excess of 20 years experience in obtaining compensation on behalf the victims and dependants of those injured or killed as a result of road traffic collisions or accidents at work. He has a special interest in dealing with claims involving fatality and has represented families at Inquest hearings in the Coroners courts. Ian also specializes in claims involving serious and multiple fractures.
Nigel Mills (Senior Solicitor)
Nigel Mills has over 25 years experience of a broad spectrum of Personal Injury claims including those concerning acquired brain injury and catastrophic spinal injury . He has been noted in Legal 500 as well as the SIA and Headway Directories. He has also acted for clients in the Southall and Ladbroke Grove Rail Inquiries.
Julie Sutton (Welfare Manager)
Julie gained her diploma and qualified as a trained counsellor in 1995. She is a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and the Institute of Welfare. Her experience includes working with South Wales Police as a Welfare and Trauma Counsellor, NHS Primary Care Trust (mental health) and the Civil Service. Julie also did group work and ran courses which included Stress management and bereavement and loss.
