If you were not to blame - or only partly to blame - for the accident, making a claim is easy. Our dedicated Motor Claims team handles many hundreds of cases every year throughout Scotland.
Call us and we will take all the necessary details over the telephone, assess your claim and advise whether you have a good case. If you do, we will immediately contact the insurer of the person responsible for the accident and advise them of your claim. They will then carry out their own investigations and confirm whether they are accepting responsibility.
We will then gather the information required to value your claim and negotiate settlement on your behalf. Some insurers will attempt to contact you direct to settle your claim before you have had the benefit of independent legal advice. We strongly recommend that you do not accept any offer from an insurance company before your injuries have been properly assessed and your claim has been properly valued. Some people suffer long term ongoing pain and discomfort following relatively minor accidents which, at first, do not seem to have caused any major injuries. If you have settled your claim prematurely, you cannot make another claim even if it turns out that your injuries are very serious.
