Dermatitis (also known as eczema) is the skin’s way of reacting to irritating substances at work that comes in direct contact with the skin. This reaction can be short or long term but can be extremely painful and debilitating. The hands and arms are particularly affected because they have frequent contact with irritants at work. Dermatitis is a common condition and often, people put up with the irritation without realizing that it could be caused by something they have been exposed to.
