A motorcycle accident in Lancashire has left two men seriously injured.
On Monday (June 21st), a driver and passenger had to be airlifted to hospital after the motorbike they were travelling on crashed in Cliviger on the outskirts of Burnley, the Lancashire Telegraph reported.
Immediately after the incident, which occurred just after 16:00 BST, ambulance crews arrived to find both men had sustained wounds to their legs and pelvises.
According to the newspaper, the air ambulance teams, which landed on Crown Point Road, confirmed that their injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
They were then taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital for further treatment while the road remained closed for police to investigate the accident further.
Earlier this month, Lancashire Police appealed for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision involving a motorcycle, a car and a van occurred on Blackgate Lane in Tarleton.
A 79-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving following the accident.
