Man seriously injured in motorcycle accident

A man has been left with serious injuries after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Lancashire.
At 13:00 BST on Saturday (June 26th), a 31-year-old motorcyclist was thrown off his bike on Cuerdale Lane near Walton-le-Dale.
According to the Lancashire Evening Post, there were no other vehicles involved in the accident but the injured victim suffered serious wounds to his feet.
Lancashire Ambulance arrived at the scene to attend to the motorcyclist.
Speaking to the newspaper, a spokesperson for the ambulance crew said: "He suffered a nasty ankle/foot injury and a head injury and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital."
The Lancashire Constabulary closed the road in both directions between Knot Lane and Roach Road while they investigated the scene to determine the cause of the accident.
Earlier this month, police appealed for witnesses after they were called to investigate a car accident which left a male driver thrown from his car in Moorside, Treales.
