Biker taken to hospital with serious injuries

A man has been taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries when his motorcycle collided with a car earlier this week.
The accident occurred at the Wansford junction on the A47 in Peterborough on Sunday morning (June 20th), Peterborough Today reported.
An ambulance crew arrived at the scene to treat the driver and motorcyclist, while officers from the Cambridgeshire Constabulary closed the road until 14:00 BST to investigate the incident.
Speaking to the newspaper, onlooker Dave Johnson said: "The motorist landed on the right hand side of the road against a roadside field so he seems to have been thrown quite a long way. It is quite a dangerous junction."
The East Anglian Air Ambulance airlifted the motorcyclist to hospital for further treatment to his wounds, while the driver of the car remained unharmed.
Earlier this month, the Peterborough Telegraph reported a road traffic collision on Lincoln Road involving two cars, which left a woman with serious injuries.
