NewLaw Solicitors, a legal firm based in Cardiff, has scooped a highly commended prize at the coveted 2011 Law Society Excellence Awards which were held in London earlier this week.

Following intense competition from 10 other legal firms, NewLaw Solicitors were highly commended by the judges of the Lexcel Award for Excellence in Practice Management, in recognition of their outstanding achievements and excellent service delivery to clients.
Lexcel is the Law Society's practice management standard and aims to enhance the service provided by a legal practice to its clients in order to improve the management of the practice and the morale and motivation of its staff.
The judging panel, which included John Pickup, Chair of the Lexcel Panel, and Chris Marston, Head of Professional Practices at Lloyds TSB Commercial, were complimentary of NewLaw’s rapid growth, excellent practice management and implementation of the Lexcel standard since the firm was established in 2004.
NewLaw is a personal injury specialist firm and employs 270 people. The firm has expanded and developed an excellent reputation with clients, insurers and referrers and switched its banking to Lloyds TSB Commercial in April 2010.
