Two teams from NewLaw take on Three Peaks Challenge
Two teams from NewLaw took on the annual Welsh Three Peaks Challenge, a successful fund-raising event for Ty Hafan, the family hospice.
The event requires teams of four to scale three Welsh mountain peaks within 15 hours, driven from one to another by a designated driver.
The competition begins at the Pen y Pass on Snowdon, proceeds to Cadair Idris, also in Snowdonia, and culminates in a final ascent of Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons. It involves walking a total of 20.35 miles and climbing 9,397 feet. The challenge was first thrown down in 1998, and since then nearly 4,000 people have taken part, raising over £1 million for Ty Hafan.
This year 80 teams took part, a total of 200 people. The intrepid NewLaw teams were recruited from throughout the firm and, though they may not have put in the fastest times, it is generally believed that they were probably the most good-looking.
