Personal Injury Case Assistant - Cardiff

Job Description

Paralegals (Case Assistant) will profitably assist with the management of a caseload of litigated uninsured loss claims, acting at all times in the best interest of the Claimant.

The ideal candidate will be required to:

1) Assist with a caseload of files
2) Maintain files in accordance with case management systems
3) Meet income and time recording targets
4) Monitor and maintain own compliance with targets in respect of income and file closure rates
5) Manage files to ensure that all payments made and received are accurately recorded, and procedures relating to payment of disbursements and damages are followed without exception

Skills Required

1) Law Degree OR experience of personal injury work for either Insurer or Solicitor
2) IT Literate
3) Self motivated
4) Maths and English to GSCE
5) Ability to concentrate in an open office environment
6) Ability to work to tight deadlines
7) Good organisational skills
8) Good time keeping
9) Good attention to detail
10) Ability to manage diary system and prioritise

Salary: £12,000 - £15,500 (appointment within the salary range will be dependent upon the skills and experience of the candidate)

Hours of work: 37.5 per week
