Case Assistant Care Home Fee Recoveries - Cardiff

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen in our Care Fee Recovery Team. We are looking for candidates to manage a caseload of claims pursuing the recovery of care home fees against the NHS. The role will involve reviewing medical evidence to establish a patient's health needs/potential claim, collating medical evidence, reviewing eligibility criteria, drafting letters of claim and liaising with NHS Primary Care Trusts/Health Board, patients and medical practitioners

Previous experience in this area would be an advantage although not essential as full training will be provided.

Main duties and responsibilities:

1) Progressing a case load of care home fee recovery claims using a case management system.
2) Collating and reviewing medical evidence
3) Liaising with clients, relatives of clients and medical/nursing practitioners/providers.
4) Develop the case management system into new areas of volume Private Client work.
5) Assisting with precedent template development.

Skills Required

1) Experience of volume claims handling would be ideal;
And /or
2) A genuine interest in furthering your skill base within commercial law
3) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and telephone)
4) Good IT skills, previous experience of case management systems desirable
5) Self motivated with the ability to work to deadlines and income targets
6) Strong organisational skills
