Job Description
|
Paralegals (ACM's) will profitably manage and/or assist on a caseload of Personal Injury claims, acting at all times in the best interest of the Claimant.
Assisting the Senior Paralegal (Case Manager)/Team Leader with supervision, mentoring, and development of the junior members of the Personal Injury department, and ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest of standards.
The ideal candidate will be required to:
1) Manage their own workload of files, either independently or in association with another paralegal (Case Assistant)
2) Accurately record all time spent
3) Manage files to ensure that all payments made and received are accurately recorded and the procedures relating to payment of disbursements and damages are followed at all times
4) Monitor and manage own compliance with targets in respect of income and file closure rates
5) Meet income and time recording targets

Skills Required
|
1) Law degree and LPC would be desirable
2) At least 9 -12 months experience of Personal Injury claims within a Solicitors or Insurers environment
3) Basic knowledge of PI liability and quantum issues
4) IT Literate
5) Self Motivated
6) Organisational skills
7) Ability to concentrate in an open office environment
8) Ability to work well with others
9) Strong communication skills
Salary: £16,000 - £18,000 (appointment within the salary range will be dependent upon the skills and experience of the candidate).
