Helen Molyneux LLB(hons), Managing Partner
Helen initially trained as a journalist before qualifying as a solicitor in 1990, becoming a Partner with Eversheds in 1994, initially specialising in marine, insurance and personal injury work.
NewLaw was set up by Helen and John Gannon in 2004 with a view to building a law firm that would provide commercial and individual clients with a modern legal service focussed on achieving results quickly and effectively.
John Gannon B Ec LLB , Founding Partner
John originally qualified as a solicitor and barrister in his native Australia, where he practised before coming to the UK in 1993. After moving to the UK John completed the necessary qualification to enable him to practice English Law. At NewLaw John is responsible for marketing and new business development.
Paul Chase-Gardener, Head of Finance
Paul leads the strategic finance team in NewLaw. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in London.
Arron Banks, Head of Business Development
Arron leads the strategic business development and marketing initiatvies in NewLaw. Having set up and run a number of insurance businesses throughout his career, Arron leads the development of insurer relationships at NewLaw.
Jonathan Holt, Head of NewLaw Business
Jon qualified in 1980 and founded and managed Holt Phillips in Bristol until it merged with Eversheds in 1994. At Eversheds he became Head of Volume Services, the Commercial Practice Group and a member of the Senior Management Team before joining NewLaw in 2008
Adele Jones, Compliance and Risk Partner
Adele was previously a partner with Cartwright Adams & Black in Cardiff, having qualified as a solicitor in 1987. She specialised in defendant personal injury work. Adele has been a Deputy District Judge for over 10 years, sitting throughout the South Wales region, and joined NewLaw in 2006 to head up our Risk and Compliance Team
Robert Thomas, Technical Claims Partner
Rob joined the Serious Injury Team at NewLaw in January 2009 having previously been a partner in the catastrophic injury team at Hugh James. He is a graduate of Reading University and has studied at Iowa State University in the USA and specialises in brain and head injuries. Rob is head of all the Technical Claims units at NewLaw and is a qualified forklift truck driver.
Jonathan Fitzpatrick, Training Partner
Jon qualified as a solicitor in 1986, and throughout his career has worked predominantly in the field of personal injury work. He was formerly a partner with Tayntons in Gloucester, in charge of the Insurer Defence team at that firm. After a career break he recently joined NewLaw, where he has been appointed to the role of Training Partner.
Paula McMillan LLB, Head of NewLaw Scotland
Paula is a solicitor and commercial mediator and has worked with Taylor and Henderson and Miller Samuel. Paula has extensive experience in all types of personal injury work and clinical negligence and holds the 2004 Young Gun of the Year award. Paula is responsible for the Scottish division of NewLaw.
Andrew Robson, Business Development Manager
Andrew joined NewLaw as our first employee and has managed the personal injury team from day one. Having spent 15 years in the insurance industry, prior to joining NewLaw, Andrew brought his skills and experience of managing claims from both sides to his role as Business Development Manager
